KONTAKT, a popular sampler, receives an update in Version 7.8.1 on February 20, 2024. It allows users to play and process previously recorded audio data, including instrument samples, sound effects, and vocal tracks. Offering a wide range of possibilities, from using ready-made instruments to creating virtual ones, applying built-in processing modules, and building complex execution schemes, Kontakt caters to various music production needs.

The update includes:

New Factory Library: Reworked with seven new instrument collections, fresh sounds, effects, additional features, and a HiDPI interface.

New Browser: Provides access to all instruments and snapshots, allowing filtering sounds, custom presets, and favorites for quick and intuitive preset finding.

Two New Effects:

Psyche Delay: Stereo delay effect creating atmospheric echo and reverse effects.
Ring Modulator: Effect based on ring modulation technique, giving sound a metallic tonal character.

HiDPI: Kontakt 7 supports high-resolution monitors.

Improved Engine: Updated time-stretching algorithm.

Updated Sidebar [Classic Browser]: Database tab replaced with the new browser, and Expert tab renamed to Monitor for an overview of different aspects of the currently edited instrument.
